Andrew and Dave are happily living in Guadalajara for now. Our RV home suits us well. As Andrew gets his TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate and then begins his
actual teaching, we'll be here. A few months from now, we might move, but for now, this is home.
We very much like it here at the San Jose del Tajo RV Park. It is quiet but with many bird songs, and it is cool underneath all
the large trees. We live just fifteen minutes from Andrew's school.
Every June the rainy season begins here in Guadalajara. We love the way the weather usually works here: it rains at night, often with magnificent thunder and lightning
storms, and then the days are clear and cool. Sometimes, though, the rain turns to hail, which surprises me since it is much warmer than one would think is needed for hail. Of course, hail
actually is formed by the rain being pushed into the upper atmosphere before plummeting to the ground. Sometimes the winds are severe enough to push over huge trees.
This is our puppy, Mela. We bought her at El Baratio, the second largest swap meet in the world, when she was about one month old. We figure that she was born just about my sister's birthday, on September 9, 2009.
